THE TEAM
About
Founded at IZTECH in 2025, Pars is an interdisciplinary R&D team of 21 science and engineering students. Our aim is to build autonomous systems and custom electronics through a culture of learning by building, and to carry our projects from competition courses into real field conditions.
VISION AND MISSION
Vision
Pars is a team carrying out innovative and forward-looking work in the defence industry. Our vision is to become a respected name that analyses the gaps and needs of the sector and creates national added value.
Mission
Our mission is to develop new technologies that move the defence industry one step further, and to do work that serves our country's interests.
OUR STORY
We came together around a shared vision: a group of students driven by the ambition to add value to national technology.
We carry out our work at Izmir Institute of Technology. Built around electrical and electronics, mechanical and computer engineering, we are a versatile and productive team.
What began as nothing more than an idea gained momentum the moment we decided to act. Ideas once debated around a table by a small core group are now being turned into reality in our workshop by a far larger and more committed team.
DEPARTMENTS
The team is organised into four departments. Each works in its own field while we move forward together through regular meetings.
- 01
Mechanical
We design and build the vehicle's load-bearing structure and drive system. Geometry that starts as an idea is first modelled in CAD, then becomes a real chassis in the workshop.
- 02
Electronics
We build the vehicle's power and data infrastructure. Battery and power distribution, motor drivers, connecting the sensors and board design are this department's responsibility.
- 03
Software
We develop the vehicle's decision-making. The software that processes sensor data to make sense of the surroundings, spots obstacles and replans the route, and drives the vehicle autonomously, is written in this department.
- 04
Organisation
We are the team's face to the outside world. Sponsorship meetings, corporate communications, planning technical visits and events, and internal coordination are run by this department.
TEKNOFEST 2026
In the time since our founding we completed the first prototyping cycle of our unmanned ground vehicle and competed at TEKNOFEST 2026.
That process was a significant first for the team, both technically and organisationally.
